As part of this month’s patch Tuesday, Microsoft and Adobe have issued a total of 117 fixes for security flaws. Microsoft released patches for 74 vulnerabilities, 15 of which are critical flaws.
Two of the Windows vulnerabilities are zero-days that have been actively exploited in the wild. The flaws, classified as CVE-2019-0803 and CVE-2019-0859, are both privilege escalation flaws affecting Win32k that require the attacker to already have access to the targeted computer.
Adobe separately released 43 flaws, 24 of which were critical. 21 of the vulnerabilities affected Adobe Acrobat and Reader, and 11 of those were critical arbitrary code execution vulnerabilities.
