A new study by Information Security Forum projects that due to technological developments and digital transformation, organizations will be exposed to the following three main categories of cyberthreats by 2021:
- Threats related to the proliferation of Internet-connected devices that make up the Internet of things (IoT).
- Digital cold war, in the form of intense cyber-espionage by state-backed hackers, attacks on cloud services and the use of drones for malicious purposes.
- Digital competition, which will greatly intensify, resulting in the public disclosure of software flaws before they have been fixed, the fall of one or more tech giants and companies opting for risky digital transformation strategies.
