The UK National Cyber Security Centre has determined that the risks involved in the use of Huawei technology for 5G wireless networks can be mitigated. The conclusion by the intelligence agency is bound to frustrate the US government that has accused the Chinese tech giant of cyber espionage and has been calling upon its allies not to use the firm’s 5G networking technology.
Huawei has consistently denied the allegations and its founder Ren Zhengfei this week said that “[t]here’s no way the US can crush us,” as “[t]he world needs Huawei because we are more advanced.”
