A new Facebook disclosure announced that another bug lead to 1,500 third-party applications with access to 6.8 million users’ unposted “draft” photos. These photos included uploaded, but not posted photos, as well as photos across Facebook Marketplace and Stories. As such breaches proliferate with an ever-expanding base of impacted accounts and people, it is yet unknown what impact they will have on users in the long term.
