Dulles Airport Surprises Passengers with Facial-Recognition Boarding

In yet another application of facial technology in airports, technology currently in testing phases across over a dozen airports across the U.S., Dulles Airport outside of Washington DC is testing facial recognition on boarding processes. The technology eliminates the need for paper ticket copies and reduces boarding time by up to half. While only some airlines are using this boarding system, it will be rolled out across the airport (and at Reagan Washington National airport) in November.
