All NATO allies have ended cuts to defense spending and mapped paths forward to reach the 2% target by 2024. Referring to NATO defense spending thresholds as a “matter of fairness” and “security in a more unpredictable world,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that the organization is now moving in the right direction but still has “a long way to go.”
