In the latest violence to target the volatile Taamir neighborhood outside the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp near Sidon, a bomb was detonated early Monday under an ambulance donated to the area by the late Premier Rafik Hariri. Residents said the explosion, which occurred at 4 a.m., caused the rear of the emergency vehicle to burst into flames. Mahmoud Kebesh, the car’s driver, and other residents rushed to extinguish the fire. The blast also damaged several vehicles and a nearby restaurant. Full Story
