The Colombian army seized 2.5 tons of cocaine Wednesday as part of a massive anti-narcotics operation in the country’s southwestern jungles, authorities said. They said that the drugs, which were discovered on the banks of the Mira River in the Pacific coastal province of Nariño, belonged to a faction of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, the nation’s largest insurgency.
