BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — A series of lethal insurgent attacks Saturday killed 19 Iraqis, including 13 civilians and six security officers.
The deadliest assault was on a minibus carrying construction workers who worked on projects at U.S. and Iraqi bases.
Ten people died in that 7 a.m. drive-by shooting in which gunmen riding in two cars opened fire on the vehicle south of Baghdad in northern Babil. The region’s persistent lawlessness has earned it an ominous moniker — “The Triangle of Death.” Full Story
