Two besieged guerrillas slipped through hundreds of Russian troops in a small town near rebel Chechnya Tuesday, local media reported. The siege, which lasted almost all of Monday, was the latest sign of the Chechen war spreading into other Muslim regions in the North Caucasus, which Russian officials say is increasingly the target of international militant groups.
