Iraqi police and the U.S. military were apparently the targets of two car bombs that exploded in separate incidents in and near Baghdad on Thursday morning. A remotely detonated car bomb exploded at Tahrir Square in the center of Baghdad just moments after a U.S. military convoy passed by at 8:35 a.m. (12:35 a.m. ET), a U.S. military spokesman said.
