Russian prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation into the death of a man who was questioned by Moscow police over a suspected car bomb plot. Prosecutors said the man had died in hospital from bodily injuries. Earlier, police said he had had a heart attack. The man, named as Alexander Pumane, was detained in Moscow early on Saturday. He reportedly told police he had been paid $1,000 to park two cars containing explosives on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, a street often used by top officials. Police said that after stopping Pumane – a former navy submariner from St Petersburg – they found two wired-up landmines and 200 grams of TNT in his car. Full Story
