An unexploded pipe bomb which was thrown at a house in County Antrim, has been taken away for examination. A couple and their son were sleeping when the attack happened at their Bryan Street home in Larne shortly after midnight on Wednesday. The device was thrown through the living room window of the house but failed to explode. Neighbours were moved to a local YMCA hall while the Army dealt with the device. Detectives investigating the attack said they were following a definite line of inquiry. Chief inspector David Hanna said they believed there could be a sectarian motive behind the incident.
