At least seven civilians were wounded when Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels fired mortars at an Army base in Lanao del Norte at dawn yesterday. Wounded were Rosie Jenon, Jonwen Jenon, Jonalyn Jenon, Vencio Fuentes, Junie Ceno, Jocelyn Culita and Jimmy Lumulho. Lumulho was in critical condition at a hospital in Cagayan de Oro City yesterday. The seven were sleeping when mortars from M-79 grenade launchers hit their homes in Barangay Upper Kawit, Kauswagan near the Army base, a spokesman for the Army’s 4th Infantry Division said yesterday.
