Ah, so

A former FBI agent who once faced up to 15 years in federal prison for allegedly tipping off a family friend that he was suspected of spying for the Chinese pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor offense Wednesday.

By all public accounts the PRC CI squad is if f’ed up beyond repair, but a year of probation and a paltry fine is too low a price to pay for revealing an informant. Once again, someone without all the information thinking they make the rules. But then when the boss is banging informants and lying to cover up his affair you can’t blame someone for thinking that maybe there aren’t any rules.

Chinese intel is eating our lunch and we’re still trying to learn how to use chopsticks.
