The leadership team at OODA have had the pleasure of working with and learning from Bobbie Stempfley since her leadership of the Department of Defense Computer Emergency Response Team (DoD CERT) after she established it in the late 1990’s. This OODAcast captures insights from Bobbie that can inform the action of leadership of corporate and government leaders alike.
Bobbie Stempfley has made huge contributions to our national cyber defense efforts for three decades through leadership roles within DISA, DHS, and now as the head of the CMU CERT. In this interview, Bobbie highlights her path in the industry and provides insights for future security concerns and building resiliency into your technology and organization.
“We are a data-fueled world.” Bobbie says. “We need to better understand data providence, data security, data management, etc. We tend to think about data from a perspective of LOSS. But it’s more than that. Has the data been corrupted? Changed? Shared? We need to grasp the full impact of our data dependencies.”
