BOGOTA – Army troops killed four FARC guerrillas in fighting in east-central Colombia’s Sierra de La Macarena, military spokesmen said.Troops from Taskforce Omega clashed on Saturday with Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, Eastern Bloc fighters in an “area of influence” of Jorge Briceño Suarez, known as “Mono Jojoy” and considered the rebel organization’s military chief, in the mountains, which rise out of the Eastern Plains, the military spokesmen said.Full Story
