Four Algerian labour unions for taxi drivers decided Sunday (January 4th) in Oran to begin a 2-day strike on January 19th to protest permit shortages, and taxation issues, El Khabar reported. The strike, involving an estimated 25,000 drivers, will impact the western Algeria wilayas of Mascara, Mostaganem, Tlemcen, Ain Timouchent, Saida, Relizane and Sidi Bel Abbes. Full Story
