Warden Message: Tripoli, Libya Auto Theft Trend
On Monday, October 6, 2008, at approximately 1330 hours, a diplomatic vehicle was stolen on one of Tripoli’s busiest roads (Gargaresh Road) while on official business. The driver reported that another vehicle grazed the right side of his vehicle. The driver immediately pulled over to inspect the damage, leaving the keys in the ignition and the engine running. As the driver checked the side of his vehicle, an unidentified individual jumped into the vehicle and drove away. (Full Story)
