Parliament will not take its summer recess until the closure case filed against the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is concluded, the prime minister said yesterday. Speaking to his deputies in a closed session of a parliamentary group meeting, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Parliament will remain open until the Constitutional Court decides on the case against the governing party, even if that means the legislative body does not recess for the summer.
