A deadline set by al-Qaeda Organisation in the Islamic Maghreb will expire at midnight on Sunday (March 16th) in the case of two Austrian tourists believed to have been kidnapped in Tunis and allegedly held in Mali. Algeria’s Annahar reported that the tourists were being held captive by a group headed by Hemadou Abid aka Kamal Abu Zeid, at an al-Qaeda base in northern Mali some 150km from the city of Kidal.
