A former Israeli military administrator of the occupied West Bank criticized on Wednesday the large number of roadblocks in the territory, saying they encourage terrorism. “We are not proposing the complete elimination of the roadblocks, but their gradual reduction in order to reinforce the power of the Palestinian Authority … because those roadblocks create a reality that encourages terrorism,” reserve Brigadier General Ilan Paz told public radio.
