Moroccan police apprehended 512 illegal immigrants between February 1st and 6th, said Hicham Baraka, head of the local development association ABCDS on Wednesday (February 6th). Of that number, 421 were from African countries other than Morocco. Most were headed for Spain. The arrests were carried in the provinces of Nador, M’diq-Fnideq, Oujda, Tangier, Fez, Taourirt, Rabat and Oued Edahab as part of government efforts to fight clandestine immigration. Full Story
