Saudi Arabia has arrested 872 alleged smugglers between July and October and confiscated explosives, weapons, mines and drugs, a newspaper reported Sunday. The daily Okaz quoted General Talal bin Mohsen Anqawi, Saudi’s border guards chief, as saying border guards seized 45 kilograms of explosives, 16 rocket propelled grenades, 20 different types of weapons, five mines, 240 binoculars, 703 cell phones and a large amount of munition during the three months period.
