Pakistan’s top court, stuffed with loyal judges, swept away Thursday the last challenge to President Pervez Musharraf’s re-election and cleared the way for him to become a civilian leader. The Supreme Court took under an hour to dismiss the case, and Musharraf is expected within days to resign as army chief and swear a new oath of office as a civilian for another five years. Full Story
