The right-wing People’s Party (SVP) is set to strengthen its position as Switzerland’s biggest party in a parliamentary election on Sunday after a provocative campaign calling for ‘black sheep’ foreigners to be kicked out. The initiative against foreigners who commit crimes has unsettled Switzerland’s normally harmonious politics.
