15 dead in new Afghan violence

At least 15 people including a dozen Taliban insurgents and a civilian road worker were killed in a new string of violent attacks across insurgency-hit Afghanistan, officials said. In the southern province of Zabul, nearly a dozen rebels were killed Tuesday after Afghan security forces called in US-led coalition warplanes to bomb their positions, the US military said.
