The government of the Cayman Islands agreed to a Private Member’s Motion in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday to consider setting up a national identification system. Leader of Government Business, Kurt Tibbetts, agreed on behalf of the government to consider a mandatory photo identification system to assist law enforcement officers, security officers, school officials and others to help carry out their responsibilities.
