N. Korean leader pushes disarmament deal
North Korea’s reclusive leader urged progress in a deal to dismantle his country’s nuclear programs, his first official remarks on the long-delayed pact, as a U.N. watchdog signaled the North was ready to cooperate. North Korean leader Kim Jong Il said “all the parties should implement the initial actions” of the deal reached in February, a statement posted to the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Web site said.
