European equity markets moved lower by mid-morning on Monday, weighed down by high oil prices, volatility in bond markets and security concerns following attempted terrorist attacks in the UK over the weekend. The FTSE Eurofirst 300 fell 10.3 points or 0.6 per cent to 1,595.07 while the German Dax retreated 82 points or 1 per cent to 7,925.55 and the French CAC 40 lost 42.8 points or 0.7 per cent at 6,012.11.
