Karzai angered by Afghan civilian casualties

President Hamid Karzai angrily criticised Saturday “indiscriminate and unprecise” operations by NATO- and US-led forces in Afghanistan, which he said had killed 90 civilians in just over a week. The grim-faced president told reporters that one recent operation had killed 52 people in three days of fighting in the southern province of Uruzgan. Full Story
