The Dutch government on Friday decided to extend the Netherlands’ military involvement in the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, UNIFIL, by six months until the end of January 2008, it said in a statement. The government also extended the Dutch contribution to a NATO training mission in Iraq for Iraqi security officers to mid February 2008, as well as to a European Union force in Bosnia until June 2008.
