SKorea expects NKorea nuke shutdown in 2-3 weeks

South Korea said Monday it expects North Korea to start shutting its reactor in two to three weeks, after a weekend announcement by the communist state raised hopes of a breakthrough in the protracted nuclear disarmament deal. The North said Saturday it had invited the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog to discuss a shutdown since a banking dispute with the United States which had blocked the February disarmament pact was almost over.
