A suicide bomber blew himself up in the middle of the Afghan capital on Sunday, killing more than 35 people, a senior police official said. Afghan police were among the casualties, Ali Shah Paktiawal, chief of Kabul police’s criminal branch, said by phone from the scene of the blast outside a provincial government building.
