Five hurt as police club protesters

The Railways Police clubbed and tear-gassed protesters at the Jacobabad railway station on Friday, injuring five of them critically. They were protesting against the leasing out of the Old Tonga Stand situated outside the railway station. According to reports, hundreds of activists of the Pakistan People’s Party-Parliamentarians, Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party, Pakistan People’s Party (Shaheed Bhutto), Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Tonga Union took out a rally from the Shaheed Allah Bux Park.
