Lebanese tanks and artillery again pounded Islamists holed up inside a refugee camp on Friday, as Prime Minister Fuad Siniora accused neighbouring Syria of links to the militants. The army bombarded the Nahr al-Bared camp, mostly targeting buildings in the northern sector of the Palestinian camp where the army and Fatah al-Islam militants have battled for the past 20 days. Fighters of the Al-Qaeda-inspired group replied with small arms and anti-tank fire, as the army renewed its warning that “the terrorists’ only choice is to give themselves up.” Full Story
