European equities nudged higher on Thursday as banks and carmakers recovered some of Wednesday’s losses, but retailers and construction groups were still weak on interest rate concerns. By late morning in London, the FTSE Eurofirst 300 was fractionally higher at 1,586.32, and London’s FTSE 100 gained 0.4 per cent to 6,547.9. Frankfurt’s Xetra Dax slipped 0.1 per cent to 7,721.99 and the CAC 40 in Paris slid 0.3 per cent to 5,957.89. Full Story
