Mine Blast Derails Train in Sri Lanka

A bomb detonated by suspected Tamil rebels derailed a train in eastern Sri Lanka on Wednesday, the military said, injuring at least four passengers a day before a Japanese peace envoy was to visit the troubled region. The explosion went off as the passenger train passed through Vakaneri village in the eastern district of Batticaloa, Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Col. Upali Rajapakse said. Full Story
