Bolivian judges on strike in anti-Morales protest

Judges went on strike on Tuesday for the first time in Bolivia’s history, protesting that leftist President Evo Morales’ verbal attacks on the judiciary are undermining democracy in the South American country. In recent weeks Morales has called judges corrupt and inefficient, and accused them of aligning themselves with the rightist opposition and the U.S. government to hamper his reformist agenda.
