The head of Bangladesh’s emergency government fainted Sunday after speaking at a tree planting ceremony for more than an hour in hot weather that has claimed at least a dozen lives in the past week. Fakhruddin Ahmed passed out briefly after he sought a glass of water while speaking at a function to mark the start of the tree plantation season in the northern town of Tangail, a spokesman said.
