Bomb, ambush kills ten soldiers

At least ten soldiers have been killed overnight in a bomb attack and ambush by militants in Thailand’s restive Muslim-majority south, a deputy provincial governor said. An army pick-up truck carrying at least 12 soldiers was first hit by a roadside bomb and then ambushed by Islamic rebels in Yala, said Krisada Boonracs, the deputy governor of the province.
