A ship carrying scrap metal from Iraq to India was sinking Monday in the Arabian Sea, and a Pakistan coast guard aircraft was scrambled to aid the 12-member crew, an official said. The Sierra Leone-flagged ship, the MV Maryam Trans, issued a distress call to the Maritime Security Agency, saying it was sinking about 150 miles south of Karachi, said Lt. Cmdr.
