Protestors have occupied an oil facility in southern Nigeria forcing daily production cuts of 170,000 barrels per day, Royal Dutch Shell Plc, the company hardest hit by this latest shutdown, said Tuesday. “There was an incident at Bonny a few days ago. One of our vital crude evacuation facilities was shut down and the facility can no longer feed into Bonny” export terminal, Shell spokeswoman Eurwen Thomas said from the company’s London headquarters.
