French presidential contenders Nicolas Sarkozy and Segolene Royal urged centrist Francois Bayrou on Tuesday to send them his supporters who hold the key to the outcome of the election. Right-winger Sarkozy finished comfortably ahead of Socialist candidate Royal in Sunday’s vote but both of them need to woo the third-placed Bayrou’s nearly 7 million voters to triumph in the second round run-off on May 6.
