A UN fact-finding mission that has arrived in Fiji will open its inquiry by talking with former prime minister Laisenia Qarase, who was ousted in a bloodless military coup in December, it was reported Monday. Qarase, who has been barred from returning to the capital Suva by military strongman Voreqe (Frank) Bainimarama, told the independent Fijilive website that he will speak to mission members in a teleconference Tuesday from his home village.
