A U.S. soldier went on trial in absentia on Tuesday accused of killing an Italian intelligence agent in Iraq but his lawyer suggested his client could reject the Italian court’s juridiction.
After preliminary proceedings to give all sides more time to prepare their cases, the trial was adjourned until May 14.
