Ethiopia acknowledged for the first time Tuesday detaining 41 suspected terrorists from 17 countries, but defended the action as part of the war on terror and denied widespread accounts that prisoners have been held incommunicado. The statement came a week after an Associated Press investigation into the transfer of terror suspects from Kenya to Somalia and eventually to Ethiopia.
