Six Islamic militant leaders convicted of killing two judges in a 2005 bomb attack and masterminding a series of deadly blasts across Bangladesh were hanged today, in a move seen as an attempt to snuff out extremist violence in the Muslim-majority country. The men had been sentenced to death last year for their involvement in a series of bomb attacks that killed at least 30 people and wounded 150 in 2005.
