More than 50 people have been injured in eastern India in clashes between supporters and opponents of a steel plant planned by South Korean firm, POSCO, witnesses and police said on Tuesday. The violence over the past three days has erupted in Jagatsinghpur district in Orissa state where the $12-billion plant, India’s single largest foreign direct investment, will be built.
