Roadside bomb kills three, worker shot dead in Afghanistan

A roadside bomb fixed on a bicycle exploded Saturday in western Afghanistan killing three civilians and injuring 16 others while a government worker was shot dead in the turbulent south. The bomb was planted on a bicycle left near a road often used by NATO and Afghan military convoys in the city of Herat near the border with
Iran. “It was a bomb blast and two civilians were killed,” area police chief Nisar Ahmad Paykar told AFP, adding it also damaged several vehicles. Full Story
